Our cancellation terms vary by property, season, and timing of cancellation. The schedule below is our standard policy — your specific reservation will confirm exact terms in writing before any payment is collected. If you have questions, message us on WhatsApp or email info@elitecollective.com.
Standard Cancellation Schedule
Unless otherwise specified in your written booking confirmation:
- More than 90 days before check-in: 90% refund of the deposit paid (10% non-refundable to cover administrative costs).
- 60-90 days before check-in: 50% refund of the deposit paid.
- 30-60 days before check-in: No refund of deposit. Balance not yet due is waived.
- Less than 30 days before check-in: No refund. Full reservation cost is non-refundable.
Holiday Periods
Stays that include Christmas (Dec 22 - Jan 2), Easter Week, or New Year's Eve are subject to a stricter schedule:
- More than 120 days before check-in: 75% refund of the deposit paid.
- 60-120 days before check-in: 25% refund of the deposit paid.
- Less than 60 days before check-in: No refund.
Modifications
Date changes requested more than 60 days before check-in can typically be accommodated without penalty, subject to availability and any rate difference between the original and new dates. Modifications within 60 days of check-in are treated as a cancellation followed by a new booking.
Force Majeure
If extraordinary circumstances make a stay impossible — government-issued travel bans, hurricanes affecting the destination, declared natural disasters, or similar — we work with each guest individually to find a fair solution. This may include rescheduling at no penalty, a future credit, or partial refund. We don't issue blanket policies for force majeure because every situation is different, but our default posture is to be reasonable and humane.
Trip Insurance
We strongly recommend purchasing trip cancellation and travel medical insurance for any stay. Comprehensive policies cover most reasons for cancellation, medical emergencies abroad, and trip interruption. We can recommend reputable providers.
Refund Processing
Approved refunds are processed within 14 business days of cancellation confirmation and returned to the original payment method. Bank wire refunds may take 5-10 additional business days to appear.
Security Deposit
Your refundable security deposit (separate from the rental rate) is returned within 7-14 days after check-out, minus any documented damage charges. We will share photographs and itemized costs if any deduction is required.
